Ingredients
  

  • 1 15.25-ounce package of yellow cake mix (or white cake mix)
  • 1 1/2 sticks 3/4 pound unsalted butter, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on tartness of blackberries
  • 4 cups fresh blackberries
  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar for sweetening blackberries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  • Spread the fresh blackberries evenly at the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of sugar over the blackberries.
  • Pour the dry cake mix evenly over the blackberries, without mixing.
  • Place thin slices of butter over the cake mix, covering the entire surface.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let the cobbler rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can substitute the yellow cake mix with a gluten-free vanilla cake mix for a gluten-free version.
For serving, pair the cobbler with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or Greek yogurt.
Store leftover cobbler in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze it for longer storage. Reheat at 350°F for 15 minutes or microwave single servings.
